Dhrubajyoti Microfinance (India) Company Ltd is set up in 2012. We started with 3 staff (including myself) and 1 branch office in Ambassa in the state of Tripura. Since then, there has been no looking back! Today we are operative in entire state of Tripura and aiming to reach rest of North East India.
While delivering microfinance services, we realized that it is not the last word for the development of the poor. There is lot of other support that the poor need for their holistic development.
Keeping this in mind, we have set up a separate wing for development programs and made intervention in important areas viz. education, health, unemployment, horticulture, livelihood and the like. We also have a specially designed grant based program for the poorest of the poor, those who are by passed by microfinance. These development initiatives are now being scaled up.
Dhrubajyoti Microfinance (India) Company Ltd. has had some major accomplishments and it is noteworthy to mention that all these accolades have been achieved in just few months of tireless work! Of course, this would not have been possible without the support and guidance of our lenders and well wishers. We have benefitted from the vast experience of our Board members who hail from diverse fields. The tremendous hard work and commitment that Dhrubajyoti Microfinance (India) Company Ltd team members display is commendable. However, our poor beneficiaries and clients remain our real source of inspiration. A big salute to them!
